Printing and Customizing MEDcounselor Sheets

 

You can print and customize single or multiple MEDcounselor Sheets.

After each search for a MEDcounselor sheet, select a language from the Select Language drop-down box and, if desired, and select a drug from the results list. When the MEDcounselor sheet displays on your screen in the requested language, select Add to Print List.

The Handout Documentation page is printed at the beginning of a customized MEDcounselor Sheet printout as a unique page when the Handout Documentation select box is checked. This sheet incorporates all the custom information that has been added to the custom information box.

A "Custom Print" MEDcounselor Sheet provides the option to add the following information to the printed MEDcounselor Sheet.

 

Translated Language Font Settings – Additional Information

To view MEDcounselor sheets in some of the languages (such as Bengali), special fonts and language options need to be installed on your computers to allow for appropriate viewing of special characters and right-to-left presentation.

Steps to Print (and Customize) One or More MEDcounselor Sheets at-a-time:

  1. When you open a MEDcounselor sheet, a Select Language drop-down box also displays.

 

The MEDcounselor information is available in multiple languages.

English and Spanish translations are the default languages within the United States (US). Other language translations are available based on your subscription.

 

  1. Select a language from the Select Language drop-down box. The MEDcounselor sheet displays in the selected language.

  1. When the MEDcounselor sheet displays on your screen in the requested language, select Add to Print List.

  2. Your selected MEDcounselor Sheet and the selected language displays in the Print List above.

 

 

To remove a drug from the Print List, click the red 'X' to the left of the drug.

 

  1. You can print and customize single or multiple MEDcounselor Sheets for multiple drugs and multiple languages. From the Search for Drug Product text box in the upper left, search for another drug MEDcounselor Sheet.

 

  1. Continue to open more MEDcounselor Sheets until you have finished adding all the MEDcounselor Sheets you want to view and/or print.

Example: The Print List below shows four (4) MEDcounselor Sheets ready to print. If you decide to cancel a print for any of the MEDcounselor Sheets, click the red "X" in front of the name of the sheet(s) you want to remove.

  1. Click the (Printer) icon in the upper right.

 

  1. If you want to customize the document, follow Step 8a below. Otherwise, proceed to Step 9.

Steps to Customize your Printout for a MEDcounselor Sheet:

    1. On the printer popup window, complete any of the following fields:

    1. Example Output - Please refer to ‘Example – Customized Information’ for a customized output example, or ‘Example – Handout Documentation Page’ for a handout documentation page example.

  1. When complete, click the button.

  1. Continue your normal printing practices.

 

This customized information is NOT saved.

Additional Requirements to view MEDcounselor Languages content

To view MEDcounselor sheets in some of the languages (such as Bengali), special fonts and language options need to be installed on your computers to allow for appropriate viewing of special characters and right-to-left presentation.

Follow the steps below to set up your computer:

 

 

Some of the changes below may require Administrative access and a computer reboot.

 

 

For Windows Internet Explorer (IE) or Firefox (FF) browsers:

  1. On your computer, select Start > Control Panel > Date, Time, Language and Regional Options > Regional and Languages Options > Languages Tab.

  2. On the Languages Tab, check both check boxes as:

  1. Open your IE browser. From the browser menu, select Tools > Internet Options >Select General Tab > click on the Fonts button.

  2. On the Fonts pop-up window:

  1. When complete, click on OK.

  2. The system will prompt for a Windows CD, which contains i386 fonts language folder, OR, you can also search for an i386 folder (if it is available) in the Windows Operating System C drive.

  3. After installing the i386 fonts language folder, you should be able to view the translated pages.

 

For Linux Firefox browsers:

Usually Firefox displays all fonts. However, if a required font is not available, you can follow the steps below to make changes in your default font display settings in Linux:

  1. Open Firefox, then select Edit > Preferences > Firefox Preferences popup > Content > Fonts & Colors> then click on the Advanced button.

  2. On the Advanced pop-up window, look in the Fonts for: dropdown box to see if the language font you need is available there. If not, you will need to download and install the required font.

 

For Mac OS - Install Languages fonts for Safari browser:

  1. If you are unable to see any language, search for the required language font via online, as most of the fonts are available for free.

  2. Download the required font to your Mac desktop.

  3. Double click on the font. A page displays showing the Install Font button. Click Install.

  4. Once installed, the new font will appear in the font folder.

  5. To determine if the font installed appropriately, do one of the following:

Note for Mac Users:

In order to access the Bengali language, you must select one of several fonts, some that may require a paid font subscription.

Bengali shows symbols differently depending on the font, and it is up to the user’s preference as to which font they want to utilize in Safari (such as Vrinda or Rupali).
