The Clinical Comparison reports allows you to compare Indications, Contraindications/Precautions and Adverse Reactions for a list of drugs in a report format. From the report results, you can view to more detailed information from the drug monograph when the indication, precaution/contraindication, and/or adverse reaction is found. Click here for an example of a Clinical Comparison Report.
From the Clinical Pharmacology home page, click Reports and select Clinical Comparison Report.
May add drugs to the report by adding individual drugs ’r;By Name’ (default) or add all or some of a members of a therapeutic class.
Enter at least 3 or 4 letters of the drug/product name in text search box. As you type 3 or more letters into the search text box, Clinical Pharmacology presents options drug/product names. Either click one of the suggested drug/product names or click the Add button when your result displays in the text box.

Narrow your search by typing as much as the drug/product name as possible to limit your search results. |
The drug adds to the right under the Drug List. The drug displays a red 'X' to its left.
You can continue to add more than one drug name to the report for comparisons. (See Step 2.)
If you decide to remove a drug name on the right, click the red 'X" in front of the name of the drug you want to remove.

From the Clinical Pharmacology home page, click the Reports menu and select Clinical Comparison Report.
May add drugs to the report by adding all or some of a members of a therapeutic class.
From the Classification tree, open one or more classifications. Continue to open and select from the list of therapeutic class names. You can select more than one.
Click the Find Drugs button in the lower left.
The therapeutic class adds to the right under the Select Drugs for Report.
Review the selected drugs on the right. Remove any drugs by selecting the checkmark to remove.

If you need to remove all the selected drugs from the report, remove the checkmark by Select All. |
Click Add to Report button on the lower right.

You need to search and select at least one of the 'Add Topics To Report' (e.g., Indications) before you can run the report.
From the left, click either the Indications, Contraindications/Precautions or Adverse Reactions radio button to add a topic criteria to the report. To the right a drop-down of the options for selection display based on the monograph selected.
Click one or more of the options from the drop-down based on the drug selected. Select terms so each highlights. If you want to select multiple terms at the same time, hold down the CONTROL (CTRL) key and make your selections. Release the CTRL key when you have finished your selections.
Click the ADD button when you have finished.
The example below shows three monograph criteria selected for Indications. This was done by holding down the CTRL key on your keyboard. After you make the selections, release the CTRL key.
The selections you make applies to all selected drug/products listed under the Monograph Criteria above.
The drugs add to the right under the Topic Criteria. The drug displays a red 'X' to its left.
If you decide to remove a topic criteria on the right, click the red ' X ' in front of the name of the topic you want to remove.

If you need to remove a monograph or topic criteria from the Report Criteria, click the red 'X' to the left of the drug product. |
Click Run Report.
The report once again color codes the topics: Indications. Precaution/Contraindications, and Adverse Reactions.
If you receive a Yes answer, click to view more information.
The drug monograph opens from Indications/Dosage if a "yes" was selected for an Indication. The selected indication displays highlighted in yellow.
The drug monograph opens from Contraindications/Precautions if a "yes" was selected for an Contraindications/Precautions. The selected contraindications/precautions text displays highlighted in yellow.
The drug monograph opens from Adverse Reactions if a "yes" was selected for an Adverse Reactions. The selected Adverse Reaction text displays highlighted in yellow.

To print the report, click the printer icon in the upper right. A popup window opens with the report. Again, click the printer icon in the upper right and follow your normal printing procedures.
Click the Back key on your browser to return to the report.

Once you have run a report you can redisplay the last search for each of the reports one at-a-time from your current open session of Clinical Pharmacology. For example, the recent reports keep track of the last report run for each of the individual reports – so the last drug interaction report, the last IV compatibility report, and so on. |
