Product Comparison Report

The Product Comparison Report offers three options for retrieving a report:

Within the report results, there are additional filters (for example, Flavor) to help you find exactly what you are looking for.

The columns of the product comparison result tables can be sorted. By clicking on the column header, you can sort the table results based on that column.

Steps for Predefined Comparisons:

The predefined reports have been prepared based on typical Product Comparisons.(compares ingredients and strengths of common combination prescription and OTC products)

  1. From the Clinical Pharmacology home page, click the Reports menu and select Product Comparison Report.

  2. Scroll through the alphabetical list of Predefined Reports to find and select a product report that matches your report criteria. These reports are grouped based on therapeutic use (for example, Analgesic, Cardiovascular, Cough/Cold, etc).

  1. Click a product report name to run the report.

  1. You can sort any of the columns. Click on any column header, you can sort the table results based on that column. The tables are initially sorted by product name. By clicking on the other headers the table resorts in ascending or descending order as indicated by the ”arrow” in the box. The arrow displays within whichever column the table is sorted by.

An example of the a Predefined Report for Cough/Cold and its filters and sort arrow should look similar to the one shown below. Currently the arrow for sorting is located in the Product column. Just click on another column heading to then display the "arrow" in that column to sort in either ascending or descending order as indicated by the direction of the arrow.

This is the same table now sorted by Additional Info. Notice the arrow points up meaning it is sorted in alphabetical order.

  1. To narrow your results, select from the available filter (for example, Flavor) drop-downs. The filters vary by the drugs reported.

TIP

You can narrow your list of results by choosing one or more of the filters or sort results based on the column headers; results are sorted by product name as a default.

Once you have run a report you can redisplay the last search for each of the reports one at-a-time from your current open session of Clinical Pharmacology. For example, the recent reports keep track of the last report run for each of the individual reports – so the last drug interaction report, the last IV compatibility report, and so on.
